Hike, Bike,
Golf, and Site-See
Beachcombing is a popular pastime in Yachats. You're
likely to discover treasures such as agates, jaspers,
driftwood, shells, and maybe even a glass float riding the
current from Japan!
The historic 804 Trail runs just outside your room.
Beginning with a half-mile of terrain the hike then drops to
six miles of sandy beach.
Highway 101 is a designated bike path. One five-mile trip
clings to the ocean's edge, while a two-mile ride along the
Yachats River may give you the opportunity to spot elk
grazing.
Golfers will appreciate the 22 golf courses on the Oregon
Coast including the renowned Sandpines public golf course.
The central Oregon coast also offers just about every kind
of fish and fishing imaginable, nearly all year long. Crabbing
and clamming are best at Alsea Bay.
