• Directions: From downtown Ottawa: the trip is about 45 minutes. Take H416 south to exit 34 (Road 43). Drive west on 43 until you get to Merrickville. Sam Jakes Inn is located on 43 next to the Royal Bank and across from the Rideau Canal.
  From the 401: take exit #705. Drive north on County Road 15 to Merrickville (approx 22 minutes). At the flashing light, turn right; the inn is on the right-hand side.
