Overlooking
beautiful Atwood Lake, Whispering Pines Bed and
Breakfast creates the ultimate setting for a romantic getaway.
Nestled on seven acres of gently rolling
hills overlooking Atwood Lake, the bed and breakfast provides
stunning lake views in peaceful surroundings for you to enjoy.
Rated Three Diamonds by AAA, voted by inn-goers from across
the country in Arrington Bed and Breakfast Journal's Book
of Lists as the #6 Best Bed and Breakfast/Inn for kissing,
Whispering Pines is a memorable retreat for all seasons.
Whispering Pines Bed and Breakfast offers
nine accommodation, each with private bath. Grand beds serve
as the centerpiece of each guestroom, accompanied by
thoughtful decor and beautiful linen. The Honeymoon Suite
is especially pampering with a balcony, fireplace, and Jacuzzi
tub. In addition to the Honeymoon Suite, all of the remaining
guestrooms have two-person whirlpool tubs, most with private
balconies, and fireplaces. Many of the rooms have pristine
lake views.
Breakfast is always a decadent delight, a
full-course selection including freshly brewed gourmet coffee,
seasonal fruit, and home-baked breakfast cakes. During warmer
months, breakfast is served on the screen-enclosed wraparound
porch, from which guests have a view of scenic Atwood Lake.
There might even be a sailing race in progress! During colder
weather, breakfast is served in the warm and inviting parlor.
Attractions abound in the area, including
Harry London's Chocolate Factory, Warther Museum, the Pro
Football Hall of Fame, the Breitenback Winery, and the Amish
Area. After a full day's worth of activity, return to the
beauty and romance that is Whispering Pines Bed and Breakfast. |
Springtime at the Inn awakens with dogwoods
and daffodils, while summer fills the air with scents from the
trees and flowers in bloom. Fall brings spectacular colors
that surround the shore and countryside, and winter brings the
serenity of the snow and sipping on a hot cup of tea while
relaxing by the fire. Sounds of rushing water from two large
ponds, streams, and ten waterfalls soothe all all who come
here.
Atwood Lake is a protected natural
environment constructed in the late 1930's. Twenty-eight miles
of shoreline make it an excellent place to fish, swim, walk or
bike its surrounding trails. Golf, tennis, and boating are
nearby, as is horseback riding for the equestrian. |
