Ingredients:

3 cups oatmeal

3/4 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened or melted

2 eggs

2 cups milk

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 cup raisins, currants, chopped dates, or dried apricot, peach, or nectarine pieces (any combination you like; can also add coconut flakes)

1/4 cup chopped nuts (pecans) -- optional

Mix together all ingredients. Pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes or until set and brown around the edges. Cut into 8 pieces and serve with cream or milk. can also be topped with a dollop of whipped cream for real decadence.
