Trail's End Inn, located near Lake Placid in the Heart of
the Adirondacks High Peaks, is a romantic 1902 Adirondack bed
and breakfast lodge with wide board floors, brick fireplaces,
spacious rooms, sleeping porches, and clawfoot bathtubs. It is
the ideal starting point for your vacation in any season
The main lodge has 12 spacious guest rooms decorated with
antiques and reproductions. Eight guest rooms have private
baths, four have fireplaces, three have whirlpool tubs, and
all have telephones for outgoing calls. Four common guest
areas provide plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the views
and tranquility.
Trails End accommodations also include one cottage
on-premise and two off-premises two-bedroom cottages. The
on-site Algonquin Cottage is a private cottage complete with
kitchen, Jacuzzi tub, fireplace, telephone, television, VCR,
and private porch -- perfect for a quiet evening or a family
gathering. Guest rooms and cottages sleep from one to eight
people. The other two cottages are 5 miles north of the inn
that offer more independent privacy.
All lodging includes breakfast each morning served from 7:30
a.m. to 9:00 a.m. If you have special dietary restrictions,
please let your host know at the time of reservations.
The atmosphere at Trails End is casual and leisurely in
keeping with nature of a true "country inn." The
staff is dedicated to providing personal service in a warm and
relaxed environment. |
Trails End Inn is perfect for weddings, receptions,
retreats, family reunions, business meetings, and group
events. Flexible arrangements with lodgings and meals can be
made for groups up to 50 people. Outside events are available
for up to 100 people. Please call for group package plans.
Keene Valley is an excellent base for all activities. Hike
to the Garden from the back door and follow hundreds of miles
of marked wilderness trails. Ski through woods and fields or
go to Lake Placid to ski groomed Olympic trails. Downhill
skiers can enjoy Whiteface Mountain's longest vertical drop in
the East, located only 20 minutes away.
Winter activities include hockey games, ski jumping, figure
skating, bobsledding, Luge runs, ice skating, ice climbing,
andsnowshoeing, Summer activities include canoeing, fishing,
whitewater rafting, bicycling, horseback riding, golf, tennis,
swimming, bird watching, hiking, and rock climbing. |
