West Point, the Storm King Art Center (the largest sculpture park in the United States), Brotherhood Winery (America's oldest winery), Museum Village (the largest living history museum in New York), and the outlets of Woodbury Commons are all within five to 15 minutes of the Caldwell House. Visit several historic American Revolution sites, take a Hudson River cruise, or wander through Roe's Orchards, and Swissette Herb Farm. Your hosts will provide you with a list of antique stores in the area. Spectacular views and miles of marked and unmarked hiking trails can be found in Black Rock Forest and Bear Mountain State Mark as well as on Schunemunk Mountain.
