- Directions:
Taxi: Get only an official yellow taxi in the
designated areas at the airports, but these taxis are really only
familiar with Manhattan and the airports. They do not know Brooklyn,
so be prepared to direct them with maps of the local area that you
have taken off the Internet. If you do not take these precautions,
you may end up with a higher than usual charge run up as they drive
around looking for us. These taxis have meters and the charge should
be about $30.00 - $35.00 plus tip, depending on traffic.
Subways: Penn Station in Manhattan:
Take "2" or "3" Line to Grand Army Plaza. Walk
down Flatbush Ave. 2 blocks and turn right onto Carlton Ave. Fourth
house on right.
Grand Central Station: Take "4" or "5"
Line to Nevins St. in Brooklyn and walk across platform to "2"
or "3" Line. Get off at Grand Army Plaza.
Port Authority Bus Terminal: Take "A"
or "C" line and change to "2" or "3"
at Chambers Street, or weekdays, during the day only (until 9:00
p.m.), get "B" train at West 4th Station. Get off at 7th
Ave. Walk down Carlton Ave..
JFK Airport: Take airtrain to Jamaica. Get LIRR
to Atlantic Station on Flatbush Ave. Take "Q" or "B"
line to 7th Avenue. Get off at 7th Avenue Station. Walk down Carlton
Ave.
- Maps: Check Metropolitan Transit
Authority (NYC) on Internet.
