Lake George Boathouse is the only Bed & Breakfast directly on Lake George in the Adirondacks of New York. All Season Destination: Two nearby Lake George public beaches offer fun in the sun, and there are local boat rentals for those who want to launch a waterway adventure. Several tennis courts and golf courses beckon the competitive at heart, and during the warmer months, the lake attracts fishermen both far and near while the nearby mountains lure those with hiking in their blood.

Sight-seeing attractions include Fort Ticonderoga, Fort William Henry, and the Blue Mountain Lake Museum, which houses the El Lagarto speed boat that Reis steered to victory in three consecutive Gold Challenge Cups. The whole family will enjoy a day at the Saratoga Race Track or the Great Escape Amusement Park.

When the temperatures segue into wintertime, the area's recreational slate serves up a myriad of trails for snowshoeing and snowmobiling. The nearby Gore Mountain ski resort offers challenging runs for Alpine skiers, and neighboring Garnet Hill is great for cross-country skiing.
