Serenely set at the foot of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains,
The Cottonwood Inn Bed and Breakfast is a luxury country inn
providing lodging amidst an impressive grove of cottonwoods,
pinon pines, juniper and aspen.
This two-story adobe of classic pueblo architecture was once
the residence of flamboyant local artist Wolfgang Pogzeba. He
designed the rooms, balconies and gardens to provide
impressive views of Taos Mountain and the spectacular New
Mexico sunset.
The Cottonwood Inn features original art and is furnished
for luxury and comfort. All rooms have private baths,
luxurious count sheets, soft pima cotton blankets, cozy quilts
or down comforters, new down pillows, radio alarm clock/CD
players, DVD players and refrigerators Bathrooms are appointed
with soft thirsty towels, hair dryers, and imported
toiletries. High-speed wireless Internet and TV are available
in common areas. Imagine relaxing on your private deck as the
sun sets over the pastel blue Jemez Mountains -- a memory
you'll never forget! In the winter time, relax by your real
wood burning kiva fireplace after a long soak in the hot tub
or in your own private whirlpool tub.
Your day at the Cottonwood Inn starts with a full savory
breakfast of juice, coffee or tea, a gourmet entrée,
fresh seasonal fruit and side dish of meat or fresh baked
pastries. One of our favorites is Taos Strata, a layered
creation of bread, pork sausage, mild green chiles, and
cheese. We love to server this with blueberry and pinon nut
cornmeal muffins and drunken oranges. Another favorite is
Blueberry Blintz Shoufflé topped with blueberry sauce
and a dollop of Devonshire cream accompanied by crisp bacon
and mixed melon in champagne sauce. |
The Cottonwood Inn's ideal location, halfway between the
town and the world-famous Taos Ski Valley, offers skiers easy
access to the slopes. Summertime activities such as whitewater
rafting, biking, horseback riding, hiking, and fishing are
equally close. You can also snowmobiling, play tennis or golf.
Visit interesting places like the Native American Pueblo
Indian ceremonies and dances, hot air balloon festival,
Chama-Antonio narrow gauge railroad, and more!
Cottonwood Inn is the perfect combination of Taos country
comfort and casual elegance as it blends romance, charm, and
the natural beauty of Northern New Mexico. |
