The heart of the intimate Four Kachinas Inn
is its private courtyard and adobe guest lounge/breakfast
room. You may relax in the sunny courtyard with brick paving
and Southwestern landscaping. Alongside is the Acequia Madre,
one of the historic water courses that meander through the
Santa Fe. The guest lounge is an authentically decorated
relaxation area accessible to the guests anytime. The lounge
features fine handcrafted art and wares by local Indian and
Southwestern artists and crafts people. Guidebooks and maps of
Santa Fe can be obtained in the host's library, a collection
of art and travel books always available for your perusal.
Four Kachinas Inn offers five distinctive
rooms, each with a private bath, king- or queen-sized bed,
telephone, and color cable television. Rooms are furnished
with Mexican and Southwestern art and handiwork, including
Navajo rugs, Kachina dolls, and handmade wooden furniture.
Saltillo tile floors complete the comfortable Southwestern
theme. The three ground-floor rooms have individual garden
patios, while the upstairs room offers limited views of the
Sangre de Cristo Mountains. One additional room is available
in a separate 1910 historic house.
In the morning, awake up to the enticing
aromas of a delicious breakfast served in a separate adobe
building. A delightful sampling of homebaked goods is
accompanied by freshly brewed coffee or tea as well as juice,
milk, yogurts, cereals, and a fresh fruit plate. |
The host of Four Kachinas Inn will gladly
provide information on local cultural events, Indian pueblos
and dances, museums, art galleries, and fall studio tours.
Santa Fe offers exceptional dining, featuring eclectic dishes
and inviting atmospheres. John will gladly help with your
reservations or point you in the direction of excellent
restaurants in the area.
Shopping and sight-seeing go hand-in-hand
in the Santa Fe area, which includes original art by Indian
and Southwestern artisans and local crafts and pottery. Santa
Fe also features fantastic seasonal recreational opportunities
such as downhill and cross-country skiing, hiking, and river
rafting. There is something for everyone to enjoy in Santa Fe,
beginning with Four Kachinas Inn. |
