from wonderful restaurants and shops. It is centrally located
between Bicentennial Park and the area which includes Bay
Village Shops and Fantasy Island Amusement and Water Park.
Guests may choose from fifteen guest rooms, each with TV and
air conditioning, that offer a cozy and quaint atmosphere.
Beautiful quilts and charming comforters blend with wicker and
lace. Some rooms have private patios or decks, refrigerators
or luxury, double his and her showers. For even more privacy,
the Island Guest House offers a separate cottage with screened
entry porch, cable TV, refrigerator, microwave and coffee
maker. Your stay at the cottage, that sleeps four, includes
all amenities of the Bed and Breakfast.
A tantalizing full breakfast that includes homemade breads
and muffins, bagels and spreads, cereals, fruit, special blend
coffee and a variety of teas is served each morning in the
family style dining room. Guests are welcome to choose an
intimate table for two or take a tray to the sunroom or
courtyard. Occasionally, your hosts will make special cheese
blintze with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. Afternoon
tea time brings refreshing pink lemonade or raspberry iced tea
and tempting treats from the innkeeper's kitchen. |
Within walking distance of Island Guest House, guests can
swim, surf, water ski, jet-ski, go crabbing or fishing on the
Atlantic Ocean. Daily cruises and sailing to Atlantic City on
the Black Whale are a favorite. Visit the Amusement park,
arcades, water park and miniature golf course. Don't miss the
unique shops and museum. Catch a movie at the local movie
theater, play tennis or rent a bicycle (single or
built-for-two) and explore the island. Evenings are truly
special when you attend the Surflight Theater featuring summer
stock with new Broadway shows every two weeks. Enjoy free
evening concerts at Bicentennial Park before or after dining
in one of the fine restaurants in town ranging from informal
to gourmet. Nearby attractions include the National Wildlife
Refuge, Barnegat Lighthouse, Atlantic City, Historic
