The Anchorage House Bed & Breakfast is situated in the beautiful, historic Crystal Coast town of Beaufort, North Carolina.

The inn is just half a block from the Beaufort waterfront and across the street from the Carteret County Library.

This 1866 Gothic Revival cottage has many historic treasures such as heart pine floors, mahogany doors, archways and mantels. There are five guestrooms to choose from with comfy beds dressed in 300-count Egyptian Cotton sheets and down comforters. Guests enjoy modern amenities in all accommodations from high speed Internet Access, keyless entry, Cable TV, private bathrooms to electric simulated wood-burning stoves.

Anchorage House also provides vacation rental homes that are perfect for longer stays and for families or small groups.

Awake to the wonderful smells of homemade biscuits, pecan or fruit waffles, or the B&B's special macadamia nut French toast. Menu varies daily. Fresh-grounded coffee is served at the perfect temperature to enhance the coffees flavor. Juices and various teas are also available. By arrangement breakfast can be delivered to your room.

Since 1525, seafarers have been drawn to the area beaches, historical sites, and wild horses of Shackelford and Carrot Island and for nearly 150 years, this lovely cottage called the Anchorage House has contributed to the charms of Beaufort.

From the B&B you can take a stroll through the neighborhood, wander through antique shops, art galleries, and dining at charming restaurants.

Take a ferry or Charter to Cape Lookout Lighthouse and watch the dolphins swim with the boat and the horses of Shackelford and Carrot Island. Don't miss the Maritime Museum in Beaufort, the State Aquarium in Pine Knoll Shores, and outdoor adventures at Fort Macon State Park and Croatan National Forest.
