Rated "Top 10 Romantic Inn of America" by American
Historic, this historic Victorian mansion, 1891 Cedar Crest
Inn, is one of the largest and most opulent residences
remaining from Asheville, North Carolina's 1890's boom period.
It is just 3 block from the famed Biltmore Estate.
Perched dramatically on a hill just north of Biltmore
Village, the landmark commands a prominent position on a
four-acre site. The Queen Anne dwelling features treasured
architectural details and expansive multi-level verandahs.
The most astonishing feature of 1891 Cedar Crest Inn is the
robust first-floor interior woodwork executed with a degree of
lavishness. The parlor is an ornamented display of richly
carved oak and dominated by a corner fireplace.
In the main house, ten gracious rooms have been prepared
for guests. All are furnished with period antiques each
boasting a unique decor. Amenities may include a canopied bed,
majestically carved or gleaming brass bedstead, quilts,
Victorian laces and deep clawfoot tubs, all imparting a
glimpse of another era. The Inn's newest lodging accommodation
features a king-size bed and gas fireplace in the bedroom,
private verandah, sitting room, and a Jacuzzi tub in the full
bath. This is a wonderfully private and romantic setting!
The Guest Cottage, just above the garden and the croquet
pitch, is a 1915 bungalow ideal for those traveling with
family or friends or seeking additional privacy. A two-bedroom
suite and a one-bedroom suite can be linked using the
convenience kitchen, situated between the two.
A luxurious full breakfast is served daily with seating in
the dining room or on the spacious verandah. 1891 Cedar Crest
Inn offers a delicious hot entree; the season's fresh or hot
compotes of fruit; juices; cereals; and pastries, sweet
breads, muffins and croissants warm from the 1891 Cedar Crest
Inn ovens. For those special mornings, your hosts and staff
are delighted to serve a Chamber breakfast, bringing the
morning delight to you "bedside".
Keeping all this in mind, 1891 Cedar Crest Inn has also been
listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Book a
