Sharon Lloyd welcomes you to The Wicklow Inn, named after
the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland. A three-story Colonial inn,
the Wicklow was built in 1947 on the banks of the Rocky Broad
River in Chimney Rock, North Carolina.
A total of three guestrooms and two suites await you, all
with private baths and cable TV. Each lodging accommodation is
distinctively different and is furnished with a delightful and
eclectic combination of rustic furniture, antiques,
contemporary art, and whimsical sculpture. Everything has been
selected with great care.
Three rooms are downstairs on the river, each with its own
entrance. The Cottage Room has a intimate
private deck with a porch swing overlooking the river. The
Safari and Garden Rooms open
onto a walled courtyard on the river. Ryan's Hideaway
is the main floor suite. It has a queen sleigh bed, a mini
refrigerator, a dinette table, and the best indoor view of the
river and Chimney Rock. There is a spacious king bed suite,
Heather Suite, with sofa sleeper, dining alcove with a
mini refrigerator, and a private bath with a claw-footed tub.
All rooms have views of the river and Chimney Rock.
Breakfast is a morning delight at the Wicklow Inn.
Anticipate seasonal fruits and juices, home-baked muffins,
scones, and a variety of special dishes that may include
banana pancakes, breakfast pie, or French toast. When the
weather is warm, breakfast is served on the spacious deck
overlooking the river.
The Western Mountains of North Carolina present a myriad of
activities for you to enjoy. At Chimney Rock Park, behold an
unequaled view atop Chimney Rock and go for a hike and picnic
at the foot of a 400-foot waterfall. |
Swimming, fishing, and boating are available on nearby Lake
Lure.

galleries of Asheville and the popular Biltmore Estate, about
20 miles from Chimney Rock. Year round horseback riding and
summer tubing are available here in The Gorge.
Two championship golf courses offer a challenge for guests,
or you can just lull the afternoon away in a hammock or porch
swing.
Sharon invites you to come share The Wicklow Inn, a small
country inn with an elegant but casual atmosphere, and dream
