Basswood's main building provides six guest suites named
after some of the resort's more celebrated visitors. Each
features a private bath and is lavishly but comfortably
decorated to suit your needs. Pamper yourself in the elegantly
furnished 1,550 square-foot Truman Suites, paying
homage to Harry, Bess, and Margaret Truman, who visited
Basswood many times in the 1940's and 1950's. Decorated in
French Country, each of the bedrooms has its own Jacuzzi. They
are separated by a tastefully furnished living room and
kitchen. Cuddle up in front of the wood-burning fireplace in
cooler weather or enjoy the lake view from the balcony in any
season, which connects to the celebrity meeting room.
The Mother-In-Law Cottage, built in 1935, offers two
bedrooms that look directly out onto the lake. A fully
equipped kitchen, bathroom, private yard, and wood-burning
stone fireplace complete this cozy vacation rental retreat!
The Bing Crosby & Rudy Vallee Suites, located on
the lower lake side of the Celebrity House, are named after
two movie stars who frequented Basswood in the 1940's and
1950's. Offering ideal lodging for families, the suites
feature two bedrooms, one and a half baths, and a fully
equipped kitchen as well. The resort also offers both
full-service, sleeper cabins, as well as the Basswood
Lodge.
Awaken to a fresh continental breakfast, at six B&B
suites in main building, of freshly baked pastries and juice
packed in a breakfast basket to take to your suite. Don't fear
