Manor on the Creek Inn, located in the heart of Duluth, Minnesota's historic east end and close to Lake Superior, is a Neoclassical, Arts and Crafts style mansion built in 1907. Nestled on two-plus acres of northeast Minnesota's tranquil, wooded landscape, the Manor combines turn of the century elegance with warm hospitality and unsurpassed comfort.

Manor on the Creek was formerly the home of lumber baron, Charles A. Duncan. Its ornate oval and arched Gothic ceilings, burled African mahogany and tiger grain oak decor and exquisite Tiffany dining room fireplace reflect the prosperity he enjoyed. Today, guests are invited to drive under the portico covered driveway, ring the bell and step back in time.

Manor accommodations range from whirlpool suites, each with fireplace and large private bath to The Master Suite with a spacious sitting room with fireplace, library and private bath. A large two-bedroom unit offers private balconies, fireplace, full kitchen, living room and private bath. Some rooms include a deluxe, seven-head, wraparound shower. All suites and rooms offer full private baths, CD players, ceiling fans and seasonal air conditioning. Wireless Internet is available.

After you've settled in, come and enjoy the home's spacious common areas. Join in a game of billiards in the game room, feel free to play the grand piano or a game of chess in the living room, or relax amidst the greenery of the solarium overlooking the creek and gardens.

Breakfast is a delicious, multi-course affair served with fine linens in the Tiffany Dining Room overlooking Oregon Creek. Cookies, tea and hot chocolate are provided each afternoon and evening in the dining room.

The Manor is less than five minutes from downtown Duluth, the Lake Superior Lakewalk, Canal Park shopping and fine restaurants. Nearby activities include Lake Superior with its beautiful shoreline, hiking trails, fishing, nine golf courses, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, bird watching at Hawk Ridge Nature Reserve and wonderful state parks. Duluth is also home to the annual Grandma's Marathon, Bayfront Blues Festival, Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival, NorthShore Inline Marathon, John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon and Lake Superior Chamber Orchestra.
