Zion Ski Area, Big Powderhorn Mountain, and Porcupine Ski Area are closeby. Kearsarge Enjoy visiting Lake Superior, the majestic Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, or Hiawatha National Forest. Norway Fishing on the Menominee River is a great adventure as well. Dickinson County is a beautiful and pristine area. Silver City For the outdoor enthusiasts you can venture off to a number of ski resorts in the area as well as to Lake Superior for fishing. Ontonagon County is a beautiful and breathtaking area off of Lake Superior.
Northern Lower Peninsula	Charlevoix Close to Petoskey, Lake Charlevoix, Boyne Mountain Ski Resort and Shanty Creek Ski Resort. Flint Active local colleges for fantastic athletic competitions – University of Michigan Flint, and Kettering University Oscoda Lake Huron has great fishing or the beautiful Huron National Forest. There is also a unique Lumbermen's Monument that should not be missed Petoskey unique shopping districts of downtown Petoskey and Harbor Springs are very popular. Spectacular championship golf courses and downhill skiing are nearby as well Traverse City Well-known VASA trail for cross-country skiing is open year 'round for hiking and biking, visit downtown Traverse City and Elk Rapids, discovering unique attractions as well as shopping, dining, or antiquing.
Central Lower Peninsula	Green Bay Ludington A pleasant walk through town and the white sandy shores of Lake Michigan beckons you to admire one of the world's most beautiful sunsets. Pentwater The village of Pentwater boasts many fine marinas, white sand beaches, and pleasant channel walks. The quaint main street is filled with restaurants, galleries, and shops.
Southern Lower Peninsula	Ann Arbor Recreational enthusiasts will find golf close by as well as hiking, canoeing, fishing, and horseback riding...all wonderful ways to enjoy the surrounding landscape. Battle Creek Half way between Detroit and Chicago, Battle Creek is famous for the beginnings of the spa resorts and health food cereals Brooklyn The Irish Hills area consists of 52 lakes and rolling countryside, ensuring that you will never want for peaceful scenery.
