Grace Grange Lodge & Stables, located
next to the Mackinac State Forest, is an all season Bed &
Breakfast in the heart of the Northern Lower Michigan Trail
System. This peaceful Joy Valley Inn welcomes equines, canines
and their human companions.
Guest accommodations comprise three guest
rooms (2 with either a shared or private bath and 1 with
private bath). One guestroom can accommodation up to 4 guests.
Guests have access to a microwave and refrigerator and a
generously stocked snack table. Breakfast at Grace Grange
Lodge is a pleasurable experience. The chef specializes in the
rich use of organic, natural, and ranch grown ingredients.
Pull up a chair for down home goodness at the big oak table
with a panoramic views of the Joy Valley hills. The chef will
gladly adapt to the menu needs of those with dietary
restrictions.
Horseback Riding: If you are
bringing your equine companion, you will have access to a four
acre pasture, fresh water and stalls or a shed as you prefer.
Trails abound whether you explore east or west. An easterly
route can provide a pavement free ride for several hours.
Birding: The habitat offers many
opportunities for varied wildlife, birds in particular. On a
June day over 30 species can be seen from the relaxing porch
at the Grange.
Winter Fun: Hardy, cross country
skiers and snow-shoers will delight in the variety of trails
surrounding the Grange. Stick to the groomed trail or be more
adventurous and strike out on the old logging loops that
thread the area. A ten minute drive can take you to the
Wildwood Hills Pathway or travel 20 minutes to Petoskey State
Park for ski trails near the shore of Lake Michigan.
Snowmobilers will find that the groomed trail is east or west
when you leave the driveway at Grace Grange. A westerly route
can take you towards the amenities afforded by the Petoskey
area. Travel east and connections can be made southwards to
Gaylord/Kalkaska/Cadillac or north to the Straits of Mackinac
via Alanson. |
Let the Grange be the base of your trail
adventure or a respite as you enjoy one of Michigan's scenic
back country routes. Within twenty minutes of the Grange you
can enjoy all the tourist amenities famous in the Petoskey,
Harbor Springs, Boyne Country area.
The hills surrounding Joy Valley are traced
with one and two tracks for hikers, mountain bikers, trail
riders of all sorts. If the elusive morel is your goal, strike
out over the hills to the north east.
Whether you enjoy a long day in the saddle
or a cold one in Michigan’s winter wonderland, the Grace
Grange will have a warm and cozy room waiting for your return. |
