just 6 miles away from the historic town of Allegan, MI and
just 30 minutes away from Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids,
Saugatuck/Douglas, South Haven, Holland and the great Lake
Michigan. 
Castle in the Country Bed and Breakfast
features two beautiful and distinct buildings. The century old
Queen Anne Victorian, built in 1906, welcomes guests with
spacious common areas, original quartersawn oak woodwork and
intricately patterned hardwood floors. Expansive lawns and
gardens surround the Castle and a wide wrap around porch
provides the perfect place to sip a glass of wine or relax on
the porch swing after dark. Adirondack chairs flank a fire pit
where you’ll be mesmerized by a flurry of lightning bugs
at night or entertained by butterflies as they enjoy the
fountain by the herb garden during the day.
Overlooking the estate's own natural pond
and a serene view of farmland, the Contemporary Castle Keep is
surrounded by a three tier deck with umbrella covered seating
and a fire pit area. Inside, soaring ceilings are
hand-painted, and rich wall colors welcome you. Follow the
boardwalk to the Gazebo in the woods and enjoy the myriad of
sounds & scents of nature.
The Castle Keep also provides dining rooms,
guest refreshment area and the Commercial Kitchen. The lower
level of the Castle Keep entertains guests with a gift shop
and book nook for perusing a selection of used books.
There are 10 accommodations at the Castle
in the Country from luxuriously elegant to just luxurious.
Guest rooms feature either a king or queen beds and either
gas, wood burning, or electric fireplace and most boast
whirlpool tubs for two. Room amenities include: closet,
sitting area, Cable TV/DVD/VCR/CD, alarm clock/radio,
air-conditioning robes, complimentary toiletries, Free
wireless Internet, and a full gourmet breakfast daily.
