Stuffed French Toast

Ingredients:

16 slices very thin-sliced white bread

One 3-ounce package cream cheese, room temperature

1/2 cup orange marmalade

4 eggs

1 cup milk

Divide cream cheese into eight equal pieces. Spread on eight slices of bread. Spread marmalade over cream cheese and top with remaining eight slices of bread.

Mix eggs with milk. Cut each sandwich in half diagonally and dip into egg mixture. Cook on lightly greased, hot griddle. Turn when underside is golden brown and cook other side. Sprinkle with sifted confectioners' sugar before serving.

Serves: 4
