A Country Place Bed and Breakfast is a restored Greek
Revival situated on five acres of woodland with beach access
to Lake Michigan just one-half block away. 
Providing both bed and breakfast and vacation rental lodging
accommodations, this 150-year-old home provides timeless
beauty and endless relaxation for your restful and romantic
getaway.
An English country theme runs throughout the home, created
by touches of lace, floral accent prints, and handsome antique
furnishings. The focal point of the back lawn is a large
screened gazebo, where you can appreciate nature to the
fullest. It is ideal for bird watching, playing games, having
a picnic, or observing the resident "wild" turkeys
preening themselves.
Five guest rooms, each with private bath, are individually
appointed and offer comfortable amenities. You may choose lace
and English roses to enhance your stay in the Windsor
Room, featuring a king-size bed and a therapeutic jet
tub. Pink roses on navy highlight the mauve decor of the
popular Vineyard Room, where unique features
include an antique water closet and pedestal sink. The Garden
Room, with a rose garden theme overlooking the woods,
includes both queen-size and double beds, each adorned with a
Jenny Lind headboard, sleeping up to four guests.
For extended stays, there are two charming cottages also on
the premises. Fern Glen Cottage features a
great room, small loft, free-standing woodburning fireplace,
small enclosed front porch, air conditioning, and a large
screened porch overlooking the woods. There is a dual
king-size bed on the main floor and three twin beds in the
loft, sleeping up to five guests. This completely furnished
housekeeping cottage includes a fully equipped kitchen, cable
television, and charcoal grill. The Fern Creek Cottage
has three bedrooms complete with two queen-size beds
and one set of twin bunk beds plus a living room, kitchen,
screened porch, air conditioning, cable television, and a
charcoal grill.
A "sin"sational full breakfast featuring
home-baked goodies from the kitchen is available to bed and
breakfast guests, served between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. Weather
permitting, breakfast may be served on the spacious deck,
which overlooks the gardens, gazebo, spacious lawn, and
surrounding woods. Otherwise, it is served on the enclosed
three-season porch or in the formal dining area by the
fireside. |

With close beach access to Lake Michigan, water activities
are abundant. Ample parking for your boat is available. Your
pleasure may be spending time at the beach, shopping, fishing,
golf, or enjoying special local events. Hiking and biking can
