Dewey Lake Manor is a century-old home
which sits atop a knoll overlooking picturesque Dewey Lake.
Surrounded by 18 acres of rolling land, the inn is an ideal
spot for a relaxing, romantic getaway in the Irish Hills of
Southern Michigan.
Guest can return to the days of old and
relax in an aura of yesteryear, a time of lamplight and lace,
love songs and flowers, picnics and sunsets. Five guest rooms,
each individually decorated and featuring a private bath,
reflect a bygone era with comfortable country Victorian decor.
Queen featherbeds, fireplaces, air conditioning, clock radios,
and cable television with VCRs are standard amenities. One
room also boasts a Jacuzzi tub, while one delightful,
sun-filled room has a bay window overlooking the lake.
Common rooms are equally as elegant. The
parlor includes a piano for your entertainment, and the
sitting room offers an oversized bay window for enjoying the
lake. The large deck and glass-enclosed porch, also with a
view of the lake, provide a pleasant place to relax or enjoy
your full breakfast buffet of fresh fruit, fresh ground
coffee, and homemade specialties. The Inn offers a "guest-friendly"
kitchen, while cookies, lemonade/hot cider, coffee, tea, and
popcorn are always available.
Seasonal events abound, including the
Sugaring and Shearing Festival in March, the Bluebird Festival
and Fine Art Show in April, the Rose Festival in June, and the
Civil War Muster in August. Of course, the holidays always
make great times to visit, with several December holiday open
houses and the Hidden Lake Gardens Christmas Festival,
featuring 1,400 luminaries.
Whether you come to enjoy the sweet sounds
of a summer night or the quiet stillness of the frozen lake,
your stay at Dewey Lake Manor Bed and Breakfast will be one to
remember. |
