- Special Events at Inn: 200-acre property is home to an
Arts and Science Program offering concerts and lectures that are in
a beautifully restored 1820's timber framed barn, a separate
structure than the Inn buildings. We also host many fine weddings.
- Attractions & Special Events: Private sandy beach in
front of Inn. Five minutes away from Acadia National Park at
Schoodic and 10 minutes from the 3,500-acre Petit Manan Wildlife
Refuge and Bird Sanctuary. There are opportunities for swimming,
hiking, canoeing, kayaking, biking, fishing, sailing, bird watching,
and golf. Peninsula offers a winery, bell foundry, and many fine
artisans and antiquing opportunities.

Park at Schoodic is the jewel in the crown of Acadia National Park,
offering incredible hiking, biking, or just sitting on the pink
granite rocks watching the crashing surf. From here you can look out
to four lighthouses that all can be seen from this 2,000-acre
sanctuary of pristine Maine. We also have many secret spots for
hiking, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, fine dining, hidden artisans,
and romantic picnics, and look forward to sharing them with inn
guests.
- Directions: From the south: Take I-495
N to Bangor, exit 45A to Route 395, exit 6A to Route 1A, drive into
Ellsworth, turn left onto Route 1 (North), drive 19 miles, turn
right onto Route 195. See * directions below.
From the northeast: Route 1 (South) to Route
195, turn left. See * directions below.
*At T-junction turn left, take first right (Route 195 to Corea)
and continue on Route 195, bearing left. Soon you will see the ocean
on the right and the Inn on your left.
Airports: Bangor International is one hour,
Bar Harbor is 45 minutes, and Portland is 3 hours.
