Ingredients:

1 large loaf of white bread

Slices of American cheese

Grated cheese of your choice

8 eggs

4 cups milk

Dash of mustard

Salt and pepper

Trim all crusts off bread. Butter bread and place in bottom of a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish, fitting tightly. Top with slices of American cheese and a little grated cheese of your choice. Butter more bread and cover cheese with bread.

In a bowl, mix together eggs, milk, mustard, and salt and pepper well. Pour over bread and cheese, making sure all is covered. If needed, pour on a little more milk. Push bread down until it is submerged. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Bake the next morning at 375 degrees for about an hour. Casserole will get really fluffy. Test with a knife.
