The Mill Pond Inn was purchased, restored, and converted in 1986 by Bobby and Sherry Whear. Over 20 years they have developed quite a following of repeat clientele. Sherry may serve iced tea on the lawn in the afternoon.

Bobby's status as a "Registered Maine Guide" enables his facility to offer guided fishing trips as well as scenic tours of the lake.
