Accommodations: Three waterfront cottages with decks, balconies or porches, full contemporary kitchens, television and one, two or three bedrooms. Fireplaces, queen beds, skylights, and personal sauna available. Three rooms at the Inn with private baths, queen beds, in-room coffee and in-room refrigerator; fireplaces and television available. One has a private entrance from the porch overlooking the harbor and one has a kitchen. All accommodations are available on a housekeeping basis and cottage guests bring their own linen for weekly stays. Please ask about linen rental. See descriptions of accommodations. Open: All year.

• Rates: Rates are based on double occupancy and depend on the specific accommodations that you chose, the dates of your stay and the number of guests in your party, including children and the "little ones". Please add 7% Maine State Tax. Our accommodations have maximum occupancy- please do not arrive with additional guests unless you have made a reservation for them in advance.

• Reservations: Please indicate the dates of your stay and the number of persons in your party, including the "little ones". We may be reached at (207) 244-3460 between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time for reservations. Minimum stays may be in effect, and one-day reservations are available "by chance."

• Payment: A deposit of the first two nights to 1/2 of the lodging total including tax is requested by personal check or money order. Visa and MasterCard are accepted for "last-minute" reservations.
• Cancellation Policy: Deposits are refundable, minus a $25.00 daily service charge, if we are able to re-rent the accommodations for the length of your original stay. Refunds are not available for late arrivals or early departures.
• Restrictions: Sorry, no pets on the premises. No smoking at the Inn and in the Pine Cottage. Please ask about outdoor smoking. Well-behaved children are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult while on the premises. Facilities at the Bass Harbor Cottages are available to registered guests only, and guests may not cater meals for visitors - please do not invite others to join you here.
• Recreation & Activities: Touring Acadia National Park with miles of hiking and biking trails and shorefront for exploring, boating, and kayaking; fine dining; visiting museums; antiquing; bird watching; scuba diving; cross-country skiing; narrated nature cruises from Bass Harbor; and whale watches from Bar Harbor, about 1/2 hour (18 miles). Fresh-water swimming at Echo Lake's sandy beach, with lifeguards and bathrooms (8 miles). Brisk salt-water swimming at Back Beach in Bernard (1 mile). 3 miles from grocery shopping; 1/2 mile from the local convenience store; and 1/2 mile from the Post Office, seasonal restaurants, and gift shops in Bass Harbor Village.
• Comments: We observe "quiet hours" between 9:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. to allow everyone to enjoy the peace, privacy, and tranquility of the Island. Although we do not offer dining here, we are within walking distance of fine restaurants open on a seasonal basis. Sorry, we cannot accommodate picnics on the grounds or outdoor cooking on the premises including on the decks and porches. Tidal kayak launching is available in designated areas. Kayak storage is available at the Carriage House and Pine Cottage. Please bring your cell phone to receive incoming calls and your laptop for remote email access. Our guest phone is available for outgoing calls only. There is no charge for local calls. Credit cards are needed for long-distance dialing.

• Directions: Closest airports: Hancock County Airport (Trenton/Bar Harbor): 1/2 hour. Bangor International Airport: 1-1/2 hours. Portland Jetport: 3-1/2 hours. 5 hours from Logan International Airport in Boston, MA.
  From Route 3 in Ellsworth to Route 102, bearing left at the *second* intersection of Routes 102 and 102A onto Harbor Drive, before the Sunoco station and down 0.4 mile on the harbor side. Helpful hint: Follow the signs to the Swans Island Ferry and look for 95 Harbor Drive.
