Downeast Maine, just off Coastal Route 1, the Inn is the
perfect central location for visiting the famous coastal
communities such as Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, Castine,
and Blue Hill. The Inn is also conveniently located near
Bangor, Bucksport, and Ellsworth.
Our accommodations,
conveniently located near other Bar Harbor, Maine lodging,
offer 6, cozy, guest rooms that open onto a sun porch which
overlooks the lake. You can select a room furnished with a
king or queen-size bed or one with both a double and a single
bed. In the morning you will be indulged with a full breakfast
featuring home-baked muffins, pastries, fresh fruit, and our
chef's special hot entrée of the day. Breakfast is
served in our lakeside dinning room where you will frequently
be entertained by our resident bald eagle.
After your hearty
breakfast, enjoy a day of sightseeing or simply swimming,
fishing, or canoeing at our lake. We specialize in helping you

Alamoosook Lake's
peaceful habitat is home to a diverse wildlife population
including loons, eagles, ospreys, cormorants, deer, otter,
beaver, and even a passing black bear. In addition to wildlife
watching, anglers love Alamoosook Lake for its bass, trout,
pickerel, and salmon fishing.
The Inn has canoes
and kayaks so that you can enjoy the lake and unlike Maine's
famous frigid ocean waters, Alamoosook Lake is great for
swimming!
During the winter
months, an escape weekend of ice skating, cross-country
skiing, ice fishing, or exploring the lakeside snowmobile
trails is waiting for you. Groomed trails are right outside
the Inn! Your hosts can arrange for snowmobiles to be
delivered.
On a cold fall or
winter evening, you can just relax with your favorite book as
you warm yourself by the large stone fireplace in the Inn's
game room equipped with satellite television and a wide
