Ingredients:

2 loaves Italian bread

2 packages cream cheese

2/3 cup slivered almonds

2/3 cup fruit preserves

1 cup half & half

1 Tablespoon Triple Sec (optional)

1/4 Tablespoon nutmeg

1/4 Tablespoon cinnamon

1 Tablespoon vanilla

1/2 cup milk

6 eggs

Slice Italian bread on the diagonal in 1-inch wide pieces. Cut a pocket in each slice and fill with the cream cheese, almonds, and fruit mixture. This may be frozen if not to be used right away. Mix together the remaining ingredients, and dredge the stuffed bread in the mixture. Fry in small amount of oil.
