Nestled within the National Historic District and the charming colonial seaport of St. Michaels, Maryland, this unique brick Victorian (circa 1883) is within several blocks of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum and many fine restaurants, shops, and the harbor. Awarded two diamonds by AAA, this Eastern Shore bed and breakfast inn has achieved high occupancy due to its ideal location, decor, hospitality, full gourmet breakfasts, and fair prices.

All rooms are furnished with Queen Anne reproductions, custom brass beds, and Waverly linens and window treatments, with bathrooms offering shell pedestal sink, toilet, and tiled shower stalls. Three bedrooms and the parlor have fireplaces.

Guests can enjoy the front porch, deck, and TV in the parlor and some bedrooms. Share tales of yesterday's adventures in St. Michaels over breakfast in the dining room. The Parsonage Inn's full breakfast will tantalize your taste buds and features filled crepes, apple dumplings, fresh baked pastries, scones and more. Please advise the innkeeper if you have any dietary restrictions or special requests.

Guests can use the Inn's bikes to tour the area or ride over to the nation's oldest ferry service (c. 1683) at Bellevue and cross the beautiful Tred Avon river to Oxford, another charming colonial seaport. Many special events are held at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum across the street and over on the harbor, or out at Tilghman Island, Easton, or Oxford.

This Victorian was built as a "show house" by the owner of the local St. Michaels Brickyard in 1883. It displays a remarkable array of brick inlays and detailing along with Eastlake-style gingerbread trim on the porches.

In 1924, it was transferred to the Union Methodist Church to serve as the Parsonage for over 60 years until Willard Workman of Swathmore, PA and his oldest son restored the building in 1985 while converting it to an eight-room bed and breakfast with private baths plus parlor and dining room for the guests.
