Breakfast Lodging Directory

good life! |
| Central
Maryland is home to both Marylands capital, Annapolis,
and to its most populated city, Baltimore. This region
boasts an unbeatable combination of fun and culture. You can
go out to a ball game, attend the symphony, shop wonderful
stores and boutiques, and visit historic sites all in the
same day and still have time left to enjoy a great
meal at one of the regions famous
restaurants.
Within minutes drive from the big-city you will find
serene pastures that are home to Marylands
Thoroughbred horses, old mills and farms, and waterside
villages that are havens for boaters and history buffs
alike. The Pototmac River begins near Thomas, West Virginia
and winds its way as Maryland's southern border all the way
to its confluence with the Chesapeake Bay. For thousands of
years, the Potomac River has served as a "leveeway"
for Native Americans. For hundreds of years, it has served
as a place for freedom and strife for European settlers and
enslaved Africans. Today, there are countless ways to enjoy
the River's land and waterscapes and remember those that
past here before. Enjoy welcoming
bed and
breakfast inns, scenic byways, hiking, biking, and
paddling on the many trails found within the region. Stop to
enjoy the many working farms and take home fresh-cut
flowers, locally-grown produce or home-made preserves.
