The building is the former monastery of the Discalced Carmelite Fathers, who chose the site on Deep Creek Lake for its natural beauty and tranquility. The retreat house has been completely renovated to become the lovely country inn of today.

Fish from the Inn's Deep Creek Lake shore, or take the canoe for a paddle across the cove to the beautiful sand swimming beaches of Deep Creek Lake State Park. The state park also offers beautiful picnic areas, hiking trails, a public boat launch, snowmobile and cross-country ski trails, hunting, and a world of other activities... all steps from the Inn.

Although tucked away on its own wooded two acres, the bed and breakfast is in the heart of all Deep Creek Lake activities. Nearby are all Deep Creek Lake restaurants, nightlife, lake competitions, and festivals. A short drive down the deep Creek Lake shoreline takes you to the renowned Wisp Ski Area and its 23 trails with nine lifts.
