• Accommodations: 10 bedrooms, each with private bath and queen bed. 6 rooms include spa tubs and fireplaces. Some rooms also have steam showers and/or balconies. All baths include hair dryers, 100% Egyptian cotton towels/bath sheets and Lake Pointe Inn Robes. Each floor has a coffee and beverage bar for early risers and late sleepers.
• Rates: $188.00 to $279.00 per night, double occupancy; $10.00 less for single occupancy; $20.00 more for third person in room. Downhill and cross-country skiing and snow-tubing at Wisp Ski & Golf resort.
• Attractions & Special Events: 5 state parks within 40 miles. Highest waterfall in Maryland located nearby. Also: Wisp Ski & Golf resort, fishing in Deep Creek Lake, Amish farmland, Fall Foliage Festival, and Annual Scottish Highlands Festival. Frank Lloyd Wright's "Falling Water" and "Kentucky Knob" are nearby in Pennsylvania.

• Recommended Local Best Kept Secrets: Lake environs are mosquito-free. Elevation keeps temperatures in summer and winter around 15 degrees cooler than in the surrounding Baltimore/Washington and Pittsburgh metro areas. Winter snow is fabulous. Summer temperatures are great and comfortable at about 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Directions: 3 hours from Baltimore and Washington. 1.5 hours from Pittsburgh 45 minutes from Morgantown, WV.
  From Baltimore: Take I-70 West, through Frederick to Hancock. In Hancock, head west on I-68. Follow through Cumberland then 29 miles to Exit 14, Route 219 South toward Deep Creek Lake. Go 12.5 miles and turn right onto Sang Run Road. Go 2 blocks and turn left onto Marsh Hill Road to just beyond Wisp Ski Mountain Golf Course, then turn left onto Lake Pointe Drive to the Inn.
  From Washington: Take I-270 West to Frederick. From there, follow the Baltimore directions.
  From Pittsburgh: Take I-79 South to Morgantown, WV. In Morgantown, pick up I-68 East. Follow across the state line into Maryland. Take Exit 14, Route 219 South toward Deep Creek Lake. Go 12.5 miles and turn right onto Sang Run Road. Go 2 blocks and turn left onto Marsh Hill Road to just beyond Wisp Ski Mountain Golf Course, then turn left onto Lake Pointe Drive to the Inn.
