Ingredients

8 cups of apples, peeled and sliced

3/4 cup flour

1/3 cup brown sugar

1/8 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 cup butter

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a greased 2-quart baking dish, place the apples in layers. In a medium-size bowl, blend the flour and butter using two knives. Add the remaining ingredients and blend into crumbs. Sprinkle crumbs evenly over the apples. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until apples are tender and crumbs are golden. Serve warm with ice cream or a light custard sauce.
