Pine Needles Bed and Breakfast is located
in the heart of historic Massachusetts, providing comfortable
lodging accommodations a short distance away from several
places of interest in New England. Lowell Heritage National
Park and historic Concord are only 10 to 15 minutes away, and
Boston is just 30 minutes east of the inn. Students and their
families will appreciate the close proximity of the Harvard,
M.I.T., University of Massachusetts, and Groton School, and
Lawrence Academy campuses.
The Pine Needles offers three spacious
guest rooms, each with a unique and inviting theme. Every room
features a private bath along with a gas fireplace, air
conditioning, and cable television. A fax machine, copy
machine, and Internet access are available for use in the
upstairs center hall.
Enjoy a full breakfast served from 7:30 to
9:00 a.m. each morning in the beautiful dining room or,
weather permitting, on the spacious deck. Early risers may
serve themselves with a continental fare that includes fresh
fruit, cereal, toast, muffins, and coffee.
While in Westford, you can enjoy cultural
events at the Parish Center for the Arts, including concerts
by internationally know artists in the winter months. Visit
nearby Lowell National Park to tour a working textile mill,
or, from May to October, take the Canal tour though the locks.
In historic Concord, walk the battlefield of the Battle of
Concord and Lexington on the Minuteman Trail. Explore the
Concord Museum, and visit the homes of literary wonders such
as Louisa May Alcott, Henry David Thoreau, and Ralph Waldo
Emerson. In Boston, only 40 minutes away, you can walk the
Freedom Trail in Boston's north end or stop to visit Paul
Revere's house, the old North Church, or Quincy market.

Those looking for some activity in the Five
College /Pioneer Valley area won't have far to go. Golfers
will find a number of public courses in neighboring towns.
Take a walk around Walden Pond, or walk or
cycle the 2,000 acres of trails maintained by the
Massachusetts Conservation Society. Ski in Nashoba Valley, or
skate on the ponds when it is cold enough.
Swimming and canoeing are wonderful warm
weather activities, or experience Kimball's, where you can
stop for homemade ice cream and enjoy miniature golf, bumper
boats, and their par-3 golf course. And of course, antique
shops abound throughout the area, while tax-free shopping is
only minutes away in nearby Nashua, New Hampshire.
Pine Needles, the Bed and Breakfast that
makes you smile, puts you within easy reach of everything
historic in Massachusetts. |
