- Directions Walking via subway & bus system: the
T from Harvard Square (Red Line) Enter Harvard Yard and bear
left across it, exit by Science Center. Right onto Cambridge Street
(along Memorial Hall) 1673 Cambridge is located at the corner of
Cambridge Street and Irving Street.
Amtrak and Bus Terminal (South Station) Take
Red Line towards ALEWIFE, exit at Harvard.
Back Bay Station: Take Orange Line INBOUND to
Downtown Crossing; then Red Line towards ALEWIFE, exit at Harvard.
Logan Airport Take the MBTA shuttle bus from the terminal to the
Blue Line subway; Blue Line to Government Center; change for Green
Line to Park Street for Red Line OUTBOUND towards Alewife, exit at
Harvard.
- Directions by Car: Harvard Square From the river,
or Boston/Central Square bear right as you see Harvard Yard
on right. You will be driving under Harvard Yard, bear left in
underpass; turn left onto Quincy Street. Turn right on Kirkland;
Irving Street is the 3rd right. 1673 Cambridge is on the left at the
end of Irving Street (on your left at the corner of Cambridge and
Irving). The driveway is on your left just before you reach the end
of Irving Street and the last building before the corner on the
left.
- from Logan Airport: Follow the signs for Boston &
Route 93 North, exit Cambridge/Storrow Drive and take Storrow Drive
to Harvard Square. You can, also follow the signs to Mass Pike which
is faster, but there is a $1 toll charge.
Mass Pike (Route 90): Take the "Brighton/Cambridge"
exit (from the West it will be a left exit). Follow the signs for
Cambridge and get in left lane - turn left before crossing the
bridge, onto the Soldiers Field Road Exit at Harvard Square
Memorial Drive Take the Harvard Square exit
which is JFK Street.
Route 93 from the North: Exit at Somerville,
Route 28, then exit Washington Street. Turn right at light just at
the end of the ramp. Washington Street becomes Kirkland Street when
it crosses Beacon Street at the Cambridge City Line. A Friendly Inn
is at end of Irving Street which is the 3rd left after Beacon
Street. (Note - it is not legal to make
the left turn between 6 - 10 am Monday-Friday.)
Route 93 from the South: From Route 95 Route 93
North thru Boston, exit Mass Pike; take Mass Pike West to the
Brighton (or the Allston)/Cambridge exit. There is a $1 toll. You
can, also, from 93, take the Storrow Dr/Cambridge exit, then follow
the signs until you get to the Storrow Drive Exit at Harvard Square.
