Harborside House Inn, a 1850 colonial providing New
England bed and breakfast lodging in the greater Boston
area, overlooks the picturesque harbor in the historic
district of Marblehead, Massachusetts, yachting capital of

Guests enjoy water views from the wood-paneled and
beamed living room, the period dining room, sunny
breakfast porch, and the third-story deck.
A large guest room with large mahogany twin beds
overlooks the harbor. The romantic double bed guest room
with antique mirrored dressing table looks out on flower
gardens and deck.
The Inn serves a generous breakfast which includes
juice, fresh fruit, home-baked breads and muffins, and a
choice of cereals. You'll also be treated to bedside
Harbor Sweets and homemade cookies.
Your hostess, Susan Livingston, is a 40-year resident,
Historical Society member, retired dressmaker, and
nationally-ranked competitive Master swimmer. She invites
you to visit Harborside House, where you'll find warmth
and hospitality in gracious surroundings. |

Marblehead is a picturesque seacoast town on Boston's North
Shore. Its winding streets reflect much of its history
including 17th-century fisherman's homes, 18th-century
Georgian mansions owned by merchant princes, and 19th-century
edifices such as Abbot Hall where the famous painting The
Spirit of '76 can be seen. Quaint shops, gourmet
restaurants, and the historic sites of Old Town are just a
pleasant stroll away. Marblehead also offers beaches, the
Audubon Bird Sanctuary, and wind-surfing and sailing lessons.
Whale-watching excursions and harbor cruises are available
nearby. |
