Cottage on the Farm Bed & Breakfast is located in south Louisiana in a town called Vacherie between Baton Rouge and New Orleans, approximately 45 minutes from either city and only 20 minutes from I-10 at the Gramercy/Lutcher exit.

The cottage was recently built with lumber from an old plantation house dating back to the early 1900's. This single cottage offers two bedrooms, one bath, living room, kitchen, and laundry room. Each bedroom has a full-size bed while the updated private bath has an oversized tub plus a separate walk-in shower.

You will enjoy all the conveniences of home with the fully equipped kitchen that includes a coffeemaker with coffee and condiments. Stocked for a continental breakfast, you can enjoy your morning meal at your own leisure. Variety of soft drinks and bottled water are in the fridge and towels and linens are provided as well. Cottage amenities include Central Air/Heat , Satellite TV / DVD (with over 50 movies), Washer / Dryer, Iron & Ironing Board, Hair Dryer, and an Outside Firepit.

Sit for a while in a rocker or swing on the large front porch - its the perfect place for getting back to nature and relax free of the city rush. There is another swing in the large oak tree out front.

The cottage is located on a 50 acre farm - complete with horses and cows, chickens and a pig. There are two large crawfish ponds and nearby canals with fresh water fishing. From February - May you may see your hosts fish for those mud bugs.

The Cottage is minutes from Oak Alley Plantation, St. Joseph Plantation and Laura Plantations. Some of the other Antebellum / plantation homes are within 1 hour away include Laurel Valley, San Francisco, Destrehan, Evergreen, Nottoway and more.
