Once part of the Marigny Plantation, the Faubourg
Marigny is New Orleans' second oldest neighborhood. This

Tour this unique area of New Orleans wealthy American
businessmen who arrived here after the Louisiana Purchase of
1803. Hundreds of mansions which housed old Southern

Cajun Pride Manchac Swamp Tour Daytime Swamp Tour
This two hour narrated boat adventure of a privately
owned wildlife refuge in legendary Manchac Swamp is known
for its gators. Lake warmed water keeps the alligators
visible during periods when the other swamps' alligators
hibernate, but not in cold weather when they retire to
underground dens. The section you will visit includes a
trapper's cabin, the infamous blood red hanging tree and the
surreal site of the cemetery of Frenier rising from the
swamp that had reclaimed it. Your guides narration centers
on the Cajuns, their origins and lifestyles, and the

Nighttime Swamp Adventure

Cajun camp carved out of Manchac, the legendary haunted

of Manchac Swamp on a bayou lit only by torches as the
creatures of the night sing their bewitching songs. Hear

voodoo curse that destroyed three towns in 1915 and gave
Haunted Swamp her name. Watch as the red eyes of alligators
