At 1800's Mandevilla Bed and Breakfast on

This beautifully restored New Orleans
mansion with columned double galleries has been renovated and
decorated with meticulous care displayed in its 12-foot high
ceilings, 18-inch crown moldings, medallions, custom 12-inch
cypress baseboards, marble mantles, crystal chandeliers,
leaded stained glass windows, and period antiques, This home
with a century-old oak tree laden with moss has been featured
on the cover of Travel South and in The New York
Times. "We cater to those who expect the best and

Guests are welcome to utilize all of the
public rooms such as the living room, dining room, and
library. Lounge upon white wicker furniture on the double
gallery overlooking St. Charles Avenue, in the courtyard
surrounded by a Victorian garden with the soothing sound of an
antique fountain and pond, or on the rustic triple swing in
the tropical shade garden. Access to the business center is
available upon request.
Five luxury guest rooms are available to
you. All include private baths, air conditioning, telephones,
cable television, radios, ceiling fans, hair dryers, and bath
amenities. Three rooms include a double Jacuzzi.
Those celebrating a special occasion may
choose The Plantation Bedroom, also referred
to as the "Honeymoon Suite". This romantic room has
a massive mahogany four-poster king-sized bed, a double
Jacuzzi with a shower, leaded and stained glass windows, tiger
striped oak floors, and a private gallery set up with table
and two chairs overlooking the rear garden and pond. Or, you
may select The Garden Bedroom, with two beds,
one a king and the other a white iron twin. The bathroom has
an antique sideboard with a basin inserted, high tank toilet,
and a marble shower. The room features lovely stained glass
windows, private entrance, and slate floors in an eggplant and
green coloration.
Your stay will be enhanced by a
continental-plus breakfast in the dining room with lively
conversation, or you can be pampered with a beautiful tray in
your room or in the tranquil and lush tropical gardens.
