Bon Temps Chocolate Chip Cookies

The secret of this recipe is to make 'em big and do not overbake!

Ingredients

3 eggs

1-3/4 sticks margarine (almost 1 cup)

1/2 cup Crisco shortening

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 box brown sugar (16 ounces)

1-1/2 cups (or more) nuts

2 cups Nestle's chocolate chips

3 cups unsifted self-rising flour

Mix together ingredients, adding flour last. Shape into golf balls. Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Excellent with a big cup of steamy cafe au lait!
