The Elysian Guest House, located in the historic Marigny
area of New Orleans, is steps from the French Quarter.
A Victorian "double shotgun" built at the turn of
the century, the guest house includes high ceilings, beautiful
details, and extensive renovation.
The Elysian Guest House offers a wide range of
accommodations to meet your needs. Each room has a private
entrance, full bath with blow dryer, towels and toiletries,
phone, cable TV/VCR, clock radio, iron and ironing board, and
mini-kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, toaster,
coffee-maker and breakfast supplies. You may choose to stay in
the River Suite, the old double parlor with a
queen sofa sleeper in the living room and a four-poster
cornstalk queen bed in the bedroom. The large Porch
Suite has a queen innerspring futon in the living
area, a spacious king bed in the bedroom, and a swing on its
own porch. A connecting door can open into the River Suite,
making a deluxe accommodation for up to eight people.
Opening from the back garden, the Garden Suite hosts
an innerspring futon in the living room and a queen poster bed
in the bedroom. A full kitchen with a stove and a large
refrigerator is provided. The Mid-City Studio,
on the side of the house, is a large room with a queen bed, a
loveseat twin bed foldout, and a new bath with a glass-block
walled shower. A connecting door can open the room to the
Garden Suite, making a two-bedroom, two-bath accommodation.
The front Avenue Studio (smoking room) is a
large room with a queen bed and a commodious kitchen area with
table seating for four.
Two delightful furnished outdoor areas with hot tub and
barbecue grill are ideal for cocktails, resting, and dining --
a perfect break before you hit the town for a New Orleans
evening. |
New Orleans is a city brimming with possibilities. Besides
being adjacent to the famous French Quarter, the Marigny
neighborhood has fantastic qualities of its own, including
coffee houses, casual and fine dining, several local headliner
jazz clubs, shops of all kinds, and plenty of nightlife. Music
connoisseurs should visit the Jazz Museum, perhaps while
enjoying Jazz Fest in the spring. Of course, New Orleans is
synonymous with festivals, especially Mardi Gras and Southern
Decadence. A riverside street car can take you to Jackson
Square/Moon Walk, the Aquarium of the Americas, Riverwalk and
Canal Place Shopping Centers, Harrah's Casino, and the
convention center.
Visit exciting New Orleans while staying at Elysian Guest
House, a peaceful and relaxing retreat. Your friendly hosts
invite you to drop in, chat, and get information. "Through
our gates pass happy guests" is both a slogan and a
truism at Elysian Guest House. |
