Bananas Foster

Ingredients

3 bananas, sliced lengthwise then in half

1 stick butter

1 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 cup rum

Vanilla ice cream

Melt butter in skillet, add sugar, and cook over low heat, stirring into a thick paste. Add vanilla, stir, and cook 3 minutes. Add banana slices and cook over low heat, basting bananas with sugar mixture. Add rum, stir, and serve over vanilla ice cream.
