Strawberry Cream French Toast

Ingredients:

1 cup evaporated milk

2 large eggs

3 Tablespoons water

2 Tablespoons sugar

1 Tablespoon vanilla

1 teaspoon cinnamon

8 slices (about 1-inch thick French bread)

2 cups crushed corn flakes

confectioner's sugar

strawberry cream sauce

fresh berries for garnish

Cream Sauce:

One 10-ounce package frozen sweetened strawberries (thawed)

1 cup sour cream or plain yogurt

1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

In a medium bowl, combine the first six ingredients. Dip the bread slices into mixture and then coat each side with cereal. Heat a buttered skillet and cook each piece until golden and crisp. To serve, place two pieces of toast on each plate; sprinkle lightly with confectioner's sugar. Garnish with strawberry cream sauce and strawberries.

Cream sauce: Mix the strawberries with the sour cream or yogurt and cinnamon.

Yield: 2 cups
