Situated amidst the rolling hills, rich
green forests, and meandering streams of Porter County,
Indiana, The Inn at Aberdeen was originally built as part of
Timberlake Farms more than 100 years ago. The bed and
breakfast inn sits at the entrance to the Village of Aberdeen,
an evolving community of close-knit neighborhoods, each with a
personality and style all its own. The Inn was specifically
created for the discerning guest who desires truly
executive-class lodging accommodations and meeting facilities
similar to those of a hotel yet in a relaxing, country setting
convenient to town and the metropolitan Chicago region.
Recently restored and beautifully enlarged,
the Inn offers a newly created 500-square-foot Conference
Center complete with a built-in media center. This center
features a 35-inch monitor; hardware for video tapes, laser
disc, or computer-generated presentations; teleconferencing or
video-teleconferencing capabilities; a complete audio system
featuring full stereo sound; both 35mm slide and overhead
projectors; and dry erase boards and flip charts. The Library,
the Bristol Solarium, hospitality rooms, and guest suites
offer a relaxing respite from a busy day.
The Inn at Aberdeen offers 11 guest suites,
all with private baths. Eight have king beds, and three have
two queen beds. Each floor offers one additional roll-away bed
which can be added to a room. Private balconies, fireplaces,
Jacuzzis, luxurious robes, fine linens and towels, and High
Speed Wireless Internet. Each and every room is traditionally
appointed in a regal Queen Anne style, maintaining a common
color theme throughout. Take an hour and just sit on the
balcony, luxuriate in an evening meditation to the sound of
cicadas, or join friends in the richly over stuffed chairs of
the Solarium.
An evening snack, free beverage, hot or
cold, and full gourmet breakfast complement your stay.
Breakfast is served every morning in the kitchen, a
wonderfully warm room overlooking the gardens or in the
Conference Room, depending on the number of guests staying at
the Inn that day. |
Want something else to do? The Inn now
offers the Mia Cucina Restorante and the Designer's Club (day
spa for hair, nail, and body care) in addition to the Course
at Aberdeen, an 18-hole championship golf course designed by
Michael Hurdzan. An outdoor swimming pool in season, tennis
courts, basketball, baseball, walking paths, ponds, stream,
and meandering country roads for cycling surround the Inn and
are available for your pleasure. If you don't want to stray, a
treadmill is available for those who want a little indoor
exercise. Shopping boutiques in the expanding Village and
Square provide excellent finds for the discerning shopper. For
the nature lover, Dunes National Lakeshore is not far away,
and for the city adventurer, Chicago's downtown is 45 minutes
away, giving the guests both tranquil ambiance and business
access.
Your hosts invite you to come get away,
relax, and reinvigorate yourself. The Inn is dedicated to
making your respite with them, be it for business or pleasure,
both a memorable and fulfilling experience. |
