Ham and Cheese Strata

Ingredients

16 slices white bread, crust removed

16 slices deli-style ham, thin

8 slices American cheese

8 slices Swiss cheese

3 cups milk

6 eggs, slightly beaten

1/2 teaspoon powdered mustard

1/2 teaspoon onion salt

2 cups corn flakes cereal, crushed

1/2 stick margarine, melted

In a 13 x 9-inch casserole dish, layer in the following order: 8 bread slices, 8 ham slices, 8 American cheese slices, 8 bread slices, 8 ham slices, and 8 Swiss cheese slices. Mix eggs, milk, and seasoning; pour over layers. Combine crushed corn flakes and butter; sprinkle over top. Refrigerate overnight.

Bake at 375 degrees (Fahrenheit) for about 30 to 35 minutes, or until puffed. Serve immediately.

Serves: 8 to 10
