Inselhaus B&B

Inselhaus Bed and Breakfast was built by Frank Blount in 1901 and is considered one of Macomb's finest examples of houses built at the turn of the century.

Karl and Dorothee Gossel bought the house in 2002 with an interest of welcoming visitors to the area and preserving a piece of Macomb's history. Near Western Illinois University, Inselhaus now serves as a bed and breakfast, offering warm hospitality, private dining, and special occasion facilities in the heart of Macomb.

Accommodations at Inselhaus Bed and Breakfast include six bedrooms on the second level, each with a private bath. Most guest rooms offer a queen size bed, one features a full size bed, and the suites has a king size bed and a sitting area. Amenities include robes and hairdryer, iron and ironing board, TV/DVD, high speed Internet access, free local calls, and central air and ceiling fans throughout the house.
