western region of Illinois offers all-American fun for

Wildlife Prairie State Park, home to cougars, bison, black
bears and other animals native to Illinois during its
frontier days is a family favorite. You'll also discover an
1800s Pioneer Farmstead, complete with a one-room school
house and log cabin. For an interesting day trip outside of
Peoria, travel the Ronald Reagan Trail, a self-guided
driving tour that celebrates the Illinois heritage of our
