Experience the best of the Rockies at The Idaho Rocky
Mountain Ranch, set on 1,000 majestic acres in Stanley, Idaho
and nestled in one of the most spectacular and least explored
regions of North America -- the Sawtooth and White Cloud
mountain ranges of central Idaho.
|
Guests of the ranch enjoy a relaxed atmosphere,
delightful meals, and genuine Idaho hospitality that has
kept this ranch a vacationing pleasure since the 1930's. |

The ranch cabins and lodge rooms are charming, featuring
handmade furniture and a warm cozy atmosphere. You will have
the choice of four lodge rooms and 17 cabin accommodations.
Deluxe accommodations include the newer duplex cabin and the
Honeymoon Cabin. Each of the attractively decorated lodge
rooms has a lovely Oakley stone shower, spacious queen bed,
and electric heat. Cabins include the luxuries of a stone
fireplace, electric heat, private bath, and sleeping
accommodations for two. Duplex cabins have interior connecting
doors for larger groups or families.
Dining in the historic lodge dining room with its large
fireplace and quilted dining cloths is a relaxing and
congenial experience. Dining room seating provides intimate
tables for two or larger tables for delightful group meals.
Daily breakfast begins with a continental buffet of fresh
fruit, homemade baked goods and granola, juices, fresh coffee,
and teas and is finished off with one of two morning specials.
Lunches may be packed as a picnic for a scenic meal. Dinners
are delicious five-course delights or the weekly barbecue,
Dutch-oven cook-out, or Saturday evening family-style feast.

guest ranches and explore the grandeur of the Rockies while

An abundance of outdoor activity is available both on the
ranch and in the surrounding area. Go horseback riding across
the rugged Idaho terrain. Half-day rides, full-day rides,
specialty rides, and overnight pack trips all are all offered.
The ranch's natural hot springs swimming pool is a soothing
guest favorite on its own or after a day of vigorous activity.
Whitewater rafting is available a short distance from the inn
and is enjoyable for the entire group. Venture out by bike or
foot and discover the beauty of the land surrounding the
ranch. Fishing in the stocked catch-and-release pond and
Salmon River or in one of the nearby streams, rivers, and
lakes promises a boastful catch! You can even horseback ride
into the backcountry, where you can enjoy fishing in a
secluded, alpine lake. Species include rainbow, cutthroat,
brook, and bull trout. Rock climbing is also popular. Scenic
drives, visits to ghost towns and museums, and even a trip to
Sun Valley are within easy driving distance. |
