Salmon is located on the Salmon River in central Idaho. The town sits at the foot of the beautiful Beaverhead mountain range. Encircled by Salmon National Forest, Salmon lies at the junction of the Lemhi and Salmon rivers. It was an important point on the Lewis and Clark Trail and the birthplace of Sacajawea.
