McCall is a small resort
community nestled on the shore of beautiful Payette Lake and is
known as one of Idaho's most popular resorts. The dazzling view
from the top of Brundage includes the nearby Salmon River
Mountains, Oregons Eagle Cap Wilderness, the stately Seven
Devils towering over Hells Canyon, and lovely Payette Lake,
with McCall nestled at the south shore.
McCall is home to Brundage
Mountain, Ponderosa State Park, the U.S. Forest Service
Smokejumper Base, Central Idaho Cultural Center, Valley County
Museum, State Fish Hatchery, and the Annual Winter Carnival.
Winter activities include
alpine and nordic skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, ice-skating,
Lift-Served Snow Tubing, or just sitting by a fire. Summer
activities include swimming, boating, water skiing, and fishing.
The McCall area in general also offers bike riding, hiking,
camping, fishing, and golf. |
